Hi Lazaro,
I know you remember our early days working at Caltrans’ Queen Lane Maintenance Yard.
The Queen’s Lane employees heard about an electrical T&D positions available. Many people in the yard applied but only you and I received a position offer.
You took the CT electrical position in San Jose and went to San Francisco.
We worked miles away from each other but our careers were always on a parallel track. We became electrical technicians together. Then we advanced to EI and years later EII, at the same time. You moved ahead and became supervisor before I did but eventually I followed.
You were my life time Caltrans Comrade.
After your retirement, I always had the hope to meet for breakfast.
Now I will have to meet you for breakfast in the heavens.
You were my dear friend and you will be missed. Love,
Sandy Michelotti
